    Default New House New Display

Well 2018 was very good to my family and we managed to land our dream mountain home outside of Denver, CO. But it did make for some nice challenges on trying to figure out what to do for a new display. The old house was down in the city and or course had a lot smaller yard, and therefore my 25,000+ LED lights made for a great static display. The old problem at the previous house was I'm running out of room to add anything else to the display. Let's just say it will be awhile before I have that problem at the new house. We now have just under 2 acres for a yard, which of course meant that my 25,000+ lights did not nearly go as far, and I even had my wife actually admitting that we could use some more lights for next year....haha....unfortunately I did not have my tape recorder with me, so I'm sure she'll forget she said that later.

I decided that this year I would still go with a static display, as I travel a lot and it would be to much to ask my family to monitor a light show when I'm out of town. I'm hopeful that I will be able to be home more next year, and therefore put some music to it all. One of the biggest challenges I have with the new place, is how to get a good picture of the whole display, so I'm going to share a few extra pictures in some follow on replies. Please feel free to give me your honest opinions on what you like, what you don't, and what you would add if it was your display.

This is widest angle I could get of the whole display.

I did not have a lot of time, due to having to leave again for work, but I did manage to put my drone up in the air for some footage of what it looks like. I will admit the video is not really that good, as this was my first time to video my display with it and I did not have time to shoot additional footage.

    Thanks for everyones input!

I tried to upload some more pictures and it would not let me for some reason, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, so I decided I would just share the link to my display's FB page for extra pictures if you're interested.

Looks great! If you can do all that with "not a lot of time" I'd like to formally invite you to PA next year to help setup our display....\
