    Default Static Gradient across element

Is there a way to make a static gradient effect across a pixel panel? I have the Garlands effect "piling" up the panel but once its full, I want the gradient to stay.

That sounds like something a simple pulse can do. Or is there something I'm not understanding in what you're trying to accomplish?

I want the bottom to be red and gradient to green at the top across the string of pixels (running vertically). Not a gradient over time.
After messing around some more, I was able to make it happen with a Border effect with a very wide width.

You can also us the Wipe. Set the Wipe On and Wipe Off options both. Set your gradient and then choose Gradient Across Items. Then up/right/up/down will change the orientation of the gradient.

Thank you Jeff! Even though this post dates back a while, I was about to ask the same question! Works like a charm.
