    I've been told to try to keep the FM Transmitter away from most other electronics to prevent noise issues. If you have the time I highly recommend you watch this xEsssentials Video This talks about setting up and optimizing your audio.

    The best thing you can do for your FM Transmitter is to use a clean power source, and clean source for all your other devices in close proximity.

    Can you define a "clean power source" for us less technically savvy?

    I donít have test equipment so I use my FM antenna. Power up FM and tune in a radio at moderately high volume. Move your PS to the antenna and listen for noise....no noise is clean. If you have noise, change the PS. I donít use wall warts anymore. PS....a white box PS my best. Didnít need to spend big bucks.

    so it sounds like the PS is better than a wall wart. Is this a white box PS?

    Sounding like 2 votes to keep the transmitter in a separate box.

    I will watch it for sure. I have been getting signal a couple houses each way from our home. My neighbors aren't close either.

    White Box means a generic - that Mean Well you point to should be as good or better.
    However, not sure that model is right for your intended loads. You need to relook at the load of each intended device then add some more for protection. Size transformer on the results

    The Pi has a 2-3 amp requirement, I would use 4A-5A in the 5V column
    WiFi router = ??A's in 5V or 24V column
    Switch = ??A in 5V or 12V column
    FM = ??A in 5 of 12V column.

    I have PS's mounted in and/or next to BeagleBone, and ESP's with any issues.
    FM is on same backboard, about a 9" away from the PS and Filter......Oh, you could add a filter to your FM PS. I used http://renard-shop.com/other-boards/...mer-board.html

    PS: Mean well makes a 5V/12V unit, no 24V RD-65 or bigger one RD-85. I think I would do 2 transformers, one for each voltage.

    mrGrumpy,

    Thanks for the detailed response. i really overlooked the amperage needed - you are right. I thought i had the voltage covered, and assumed the rest would fall into place. Much more informed now.

    Can i use a 12v supply and one of these for the Pi? Is there a better buck?
