    I am only using 2 arduinos so for now do I really need the hub? Is 2 arduinos a lot? I don't think I will be expanding more than 2 arduinos anyyy time soon.

    as long as you are not powering the arduino devices via the usb port, you will be fine

    2018 - Moving and going to visit my Daughter in New Zealand. Most likely I will be dark or nearly dark, Some static stuff that is simple to put up.

    Here's my diagram. It's just not letting me dim...

    what sketch did you implement to dim?

    Well, to test the dimming, I was using this:

    Code:
    unsigned char AC_LOAD = 9; // Output to Opto Triac pin
    unsigned char dimming = 3;  // Dimming level (0-100)
    unsigned char i;

    void setup() {
      // put your setup code here, to run once:
      pinMode(AC_LOAD, OUTPUT);// Set AC Load pin as output
      attachInterrupt(2, zero_crosss_int, RISING);

      // Serial.begin(9600);

    }

    void zero_crosss_int() // function to be fired at the zero crossing to dim the light
    {
      // Firing angle calculation : 1 full 50Hz wave =1/50=20ms
      // Every zerocrossing : (50Hz)-> 10ms (1/2 Cycle) For 60Hz (1/2 Cycle) => 8.33ms
      // 10ms=10000us

      int dimtime = (100*dimming);    // For 60Hz =>65
      delayMicroseconds(dimtime);    // Off cycle
      digitalWrite(AC_LOAD, HIGH);   // triac firing
      delayMicroseconds(8.33); // triac On propogation delay (for 60Hz use 8.33)
      digitalWrite(AC_LOAD, LOW);    // triac Off
    }

    void loop() {

              for (i=5;i<85;i++)
              {
                dimming=i;
                delay(20);
              }

              for (i=85;i>5;i--)
              {
                dimming=i;
                delay(20);
              }

    }
    Once I get the dimming to work, I'm going to run into the next step of problems. Getting the code for arduinos to output the sequences.

    I am a bit confused. You said in post #1 that you had completed your show and everything works beautifully. But now you just want to go wireless.

    But post #15 you said that you only have a test code.

    Do you have a working system when you use your standard computer instead of RPi ??

    Why are you using an UNO for 6 outputs? Because of PWM pins? With a Zero Cross detector and ZParticle's sketch, you can run at least 32 outputs from one MEGA with dimming.

    2017 - Pi3 w/FPP controlling 8 ESPixelsticks driving 1250pixels and 3 Arduino MEGAS communicating with ESP-01s driving 96 channels
    2016 - 184 channels of Blinking/Flashing using 4 Arduino MEGAs and cheap home-made props.

    It worked without a zero cross detector on the computer. Then I put a ZCD in, and nothing fades. I also thought you needed pwm for dimming. So thanks for letting me know that. I can cut down on one Arduino. I don't know why it doesn't dim, I think it's my code. Not sure.

    EDIT: I got it back to normal where it triggers on/off but the fading still does not work.

    Yeah, could be your sketch. Or it could be your SSR. You can try another sketch that is known to DIM, by ZParrticle.
