    Default COnfused

So I set up part of my display tonight, arches with strips to be specfic. When I plug it all in. ONe of the arches light up white. So i figure I had a problem. THe onther arch was off. I pulled it inside, Plugged them in to my controller and they each light up, but different color pattern from the other one. I figured i got a wire problem some were. ANy advice before I strip it all down.

Wrong start channel is often the problem. Channel count, 510/512 boundary....rarely wiring issue.

Did you not have a controller hooked up when you powered them up? All white is a "feature" of some strips when no data signal is received.

According to some people who have experienced this problem, it meant that the first pixel was fried.

Yet another possibility is the voltage is "wrong" for the strip. Some like it it right on spec, some like it higher, many like it just a bit lower.
