Default Mega Pixel Tree with picap or ESP wifi pixel controller

    Hey Guys,

I'm planning to have a pixel tree this year, I already have the RGB leds (ws2811) I have 600 (12 strips 50 pcs each) and the power supply, I also have a raspberry pi 3, So i was wondering what's the best controller (on a budget), I'm considering the Falcon PiCap (43 USD included shipping), it seems the fastest choice, but I was reading about the ESP wifi pixel controller (13 usd), but to be honest I have no idea how it works or if it's even a good idea or how many I'll need, what do you suggest or where can I find information?

You can run your 600 pixels on a single ESP WiFi Pixel controller. Read the instructions and/or post questions here...we’ll get you running.

    Process:
    Buy
    Build
    Flash
    Configure Pi
    Enjoy lights

    picap - simplest solution.
esp - only cheap if you already have a spare wifi ap to use.

ap $50 + esp $13 makes the cap cheaper
