    Default Universe export file bug

The new universe export file in V3.5 seems to export some universe channels incorrectly. Seems to only occur on universes where the full quota of channels has not been allocated in the controller output setup (e.g less than the full 510 or 512.) In some cases where the number of channels in a given universe on a controller is allocated to say 150, then the export incorrectly allocates the full 510.

Is this a known bug and has anyone else seen it?

do you have the number of channels on the controller set to the same number as the sum of the universe channels you've defined?

Currently Vixen is not creating a universe file at all ver. 3.5u4

IS it because of the relay?

When you are exporting, do you have any controllers selected other than sACN controllers? The current version can only create a universes file if all controllers support universes.

BTW, I just finished an update that allows the universes file to be created even when there's non-universe controllers selected. It's in review and testing now.

Update: Dev build 762 contains the fix to allow the exporter to generate the universes file when non sACN controllers are selected.

Note that the channel data for controllers that don't support universes will be exported in the fseq files in the position they appear in the controllers list. So when this is the case, you'll see gaps in the channel start/size in the universes file. This is no problem for FPP. You can assign those channels to the other controllers in the other FPP setup pages. You will want to note the start channel for these controllers on the controller selection screen of the Vixen export so that you can use it to set up the "other" outputs in the FPP GUI.
