Default Need help with my new Toy

I finally received my new 45 W RGB remote control light source. It will be primarily used to light fiber optic setup for a laminar fountain.
See my photos here - http://laminar.forumotion.com/t72p165-my-project

The only problem now is to get it to work. The company was kind enough to send another remote - as they thought it might be at faulty.
I have tried the best I can to understand the Chinese to English translation in the instruction manual.

Would anyone be able to help to get this thing going? I would also light to use it without the fiber optics as wall washer.

    Thanks in advance.

    What is it doing?
What do you expect it to do?

With the remote it can produce these colors, fades, flashes etc.
If I turn it on while holding in the rear button they speak about I get one "beep" and the LED is off.
Pushing any button on the remote - as they suggest - produces a single long "beep" and "red" comes on.

Nothing else happens - no further beeps or changes to the "red" color.

Pushing any of the keys does nothing. There does not seem to be any "reading" of the remote taking place.

That's generally a generic IR remote. Needs to be pointed right at the receiver to work. I have 3 of these for my pond lights. My guess is it's the receiver that's bad.

Yep. Tried holding the button longer as suggested. I only get one beep. Contacted the company to see what they say.

Is there a way I could just use the PS and RGB Led and control it via xlights and FFP?
