Question 1 espixel to 5 elements doubts!!!

    Hello,

i have some questions if anyone can help me.

I have five little stars and I want to control them separately.

Do i have to had a espixel to each one or can it be done other way?
I can control them with one espixel to each, but the stars are 20 inches apart from each ones...i think thats a waist of espixels.

    how can i do this??

    Other question:

Can i inject power on led strip without blowing anything??

    Thank you all

If they're only 20 inches apart, you can just insert a splice between the last pixel of one star and the first one of the next star. No problem. You won't even have to inject power.

20 inches is no big deal. 20 FEET might be a problem, and then you'd want to use one of RobG's "null pixel without pixel" adapters which will boost the data signal.

I would configure Vixen as a Group of STARS, containing Star1 thru Star5, then Patch STARS to a single ESPixel controller

    For your power injection....ESPixel v+ v-/g and data to Star1. D & G only from Star1 to Star2 (no v+) Add power as v+(New)and v-(to g) to Star2, then repeat Star2 for Star3-5

You don't. You make each star as a stand alone element. Then you send all of the channels to a single esp on the patching page

Define each star in Vixen as an individual Star1 to Star5, then group them as STARS, but patch to only one ESP.
You do not need to use an ESP for each star. 20" between each is fine. I have 4 Arches on single ESP at 5 feet spacing.
