    Default Opinions needed

I am wanting to put permanent strips on the front of my house. I am planning to mount them inside aluminum channel with translucent covers. I have 2 options. Mount on the fascia boards facing out, or under the fascia. I have put pics below of the 2 areas I am thinking of. The 2nd puts the strips/channels more out of the weather that the 1st. What are y'alls thoughts?

Throw out the strips and use bullet nodes.

    +1.

Bullets in drilled grey pvc up since Nov 2015...no takedown, no repairs or adjustments to pixels...…(just tested for Memorial Day display - 100%) run something almost every holiday. Have changed controllers.

I went with uncledan's recommendation based upon his video.

I did the same thing as the first pic and they lasted for about 30 months. Pain to repair and waterproof. I replaced with C9 Pixabulbs last year and I take them down after Christmas. Strip is a pain! I have been installing some 7515 modules under the eaves attached to the back of the fascia to leave up year round. They basically wash the side of my house and are out of the elements. Using these modules with 12" spacing https://scottled.en.alibaba.com/prod...31f65f2aIYedib Vimeo link of some testing https://vimeo.com/260711704

12mm bullet nodes fit inside the channel of a rope light channel. Looks good, and has stayed up now for over a year.

For year round use, I would like something that sets mood. Therefore , I would do under facing down. I think indirect would work better at doing that.
