I certainly can understand a desire to port the LOR sequences. I was stuck in a similar mindset for a year as a pre-condition of moving to Xlights. I finally made the hard decision that my LOR show was starting to show its age...going on 5 years and I would start fresh with Xlights on January 1. Best decision I ever made. I kept my purchased .SUP mega tree files in my new show, as they import easily into Xlights without hardly any more effort than just defining the tree in set up. Once I saw how easy that was it gave me encouragement that I was on the right path and now this years show will be a traffic stopper. I also took time to re-assign all IP addresses of all controllers. Now, even if I wanted to, I can't go back to my LOR show. I had to force myself to learn XLights after that. Plenty of resources out there to help you too! Get going now, you will run out of year if you don't.
I’m in the middle of doing just this. The porting over of LMS files is a breeze, the pixel editor files is hit or miss, but I can honestly do a lot more with xlights effects then pixel editor. Bringing in superstar files is easy and only takes about 5 minutes of time.
Also anyone telling you programming ac lights in xlights being hard has no clue what they are Talking about. They released an AC tool bar you click it on and it’s easier to use then the LOR tool bar.
The most time consuming part is creating your layout, you have to have that complete before importing LOR sequences.
