    St. Louis show attendees,

This is not meant to be a loaded question but more out of curiosity as I'm sure that there are many varied reasons why you attended this year. I'm wondering what your impressions of the show were? What new information/trends did you learn about? What was your favorite part of the show? Now that I'm retired, this might be something that I try to attend in the future, but living in Alaska, I can't just jump in a car for a few hour drive or take a plane for a short flight. It would need to be part of an overall larger trip outside for me Do you think it was worth your time?

    Thanks,
    Jim

The show doesn't start until the 24th of this month. You're ahead of the curve!

    Just a reminder
The TransWorld's Christmas Show is coming to St. Louis March 21-24, 2019. If anyone is interested, tickets are still available. It is being held at the America’s Center in downtown St Louis on March 21-24th.

Tickets are pricey though at $60 per person. The price is an early bird special. On March 18, the price goes up to $75 a ticket. So get your tickets now. The show is a 4 day event and it is being held with the Halloween show. So both shows for one price! According to my contact at the show, there will be lots of free parties, mixers, demos, early bird seminars that are all included each day. The show floor is over 400,000 sq ft with 370 vendors and over 13,000 attendees. Go to Christmas one day and Halloween the next 😊

It's also worth noting that the possibility of significant flooding exists in the middle of the country.... so check with local authorities to determine if the route you plan to take to get to St. Louis is blocked by flooded highways....

24 hours and counting down! I'll be at the St Louis Christmas and Halloween Expo tomorrow most of the day. Will anyone else from this site be there?
Let me know in a PM if you are and maybe we can meet up for lunch. If I take any pictures I'll post them on here next week.

    Hey all
Wife and I had a great time at the St Louis Xmas and Halloween expo in St Louis this past weekend. We spent almost 7 hours there and logged over 8 miles of walking. The expo was magnificent in size and things to do. We got to meet a few members from the DIY community: Halstaff, Jchuchla, Algerdes, and um what was his name? Oh James the magnificent Hohensee. We had more fun just meeting them and getting to know them after many years of talking to them via the DIY sites. I heard Traneman and Firecop were there too, but we couldn't find them. So sorry guys maybe next year?

The Halloween side of the expo was much larger than the Christmas side, but very fun and entertaining. We went up and down every aisle about 4 times and saw something new and different each time. For those who love Halloween like me, there's plenty to see and do on this side of the expo. Some of the props were unbelievable in size and detail. They said this is the largest Halloween expo in the country and after being there myself, I agree 100% .

Even though the Christmas side was smaller, the displays were much larger in size. Many super sized mega trees, animatronics and thousands of lights to ooh and aah over. I wish they had an actual synchronized display in motion with music. James had the best booth on the Christmas side and even had his wife there to help him out. Thanks to you and Shannon for being there James. I'm still waiting for one of those hats. I hope the Christmas side expands next year with more booths and lighting supplies.

Even though tickets were $60 (presale price) it was well worth it. We're already looking forward to next year. I know the expo already has the next 2 years signed up at the same place. As soon as I receive notification that tickets are available, I'll post a new message in the forums.
