    Data passes straight through. GND passes straight through and is tapped from the feed. 2 +V from the feed, one goes to the input side and the other to the output side.

    Colors are not a match to the Ts so you will need to test to determine them but this is the concept

    Yes the pigtail is wired on both ends of the pixel strand along with a female lead with 18" of wire.

    It's just a cable. There is no such thing as data direction in a cable. Cables don't care which way the data travels.

    Correct Jon. You can use it in either direction. The data will carry either way.

    Haha I drew this up a long time ago! Nice to see it referenced

    I have added a little better description to the graphic. Since females have the power and males just tap into it I didn't feel it necessary at the time

    I don't have wiki write access so if someone could update it that would be great.
