    Default DIGWDF SSRez/SSRhc/SSRneon Wi-Fi Adapter Pre-Order Program

Just a reminder to everyone that the pre-order program for this SSR Wi-Fi Adapter is open during the month of January ONLY.

This is the only pre-order program that will be offered for it and the program will end at Midnight on January 31st. If you want to acquire this adapter at a significant discount, this is the time to make your move.

To date there have been 35 units ordered. We do not have a limit to the number that can be purchased and the DIGWDF store is handling both the pre-order purchases and the purchases of related shipping, which is dependent on the number of kits ordered.

Remember, the program closes on January 31st and at that time, the store's ability to accept pre-orders will be disabled. So don't wait until February... you'll be too late.

    I have some questions:
    1. Does this include the ESP-01?
    2. I don't have the SSREZ but I have the SSROZ that is pictured in the Wiki here: http://www.doityourselfchristmas.com...d_State_Relays. I think this will functionally work with it but it will be taller. Will it still fit in the TA-200 box?
    3. I have been thinking of trying the ESPThing to make some of my SSR's wireless for props that the FourStick doesn't have enough current capacity for but this special buy will be cheaper than that and easier to do. At least I think it looks like it. Am I right?

Thanks for all you do for the DIY Christmas light community.

Yes, the Pre-Order program includes the ESP-01 module and even the short cat5 cable. You have to provide your own 6" long AC power wire though -- I use wire cut from old strings of incans before I toss the lights out...

I actually have an SSROZ v 2.5e (December 2007) with the tall fuse and yeah... it's a tall fuse...

But it looks like it could still work. To make it fit inside a TA-200, you'd have to cut down the plastic standoffs in the bottom of the TA-200 case so the SSR sits essentially on the bottom of the case, and then the adapter can rest on the top of the plastic fuse case, which isolates it from the TRIACs. If you have a heat sink on the TRIACs you'd want to slip something in between to insulate the bottom of the adapter (where the soldering is) from the heat sink but yeah, it looks like it could work. (See photos)

FourStick uses the VO2223A chip, which is limited to about 1amp/channel. If that's not enough juice then you would definitely want something beefier.
