Does anybody use the '9W high power led WS2811 controlled RGB flood light' Ray Wu sells? If so... How do you like them?

Keep in mind that they use the typical "10W" RGB LEDs which are actually only 9w. So you're only getting 3 watts per color. I wouldn't expect these to be all that bright. His bigger 30W version should be a lot better at 10w per color.

Hello! Do you have a link? I believe I used those flood 2 years in a row. One year I had floods that required power to every flood. The next year I purchased some new version that had the power running in line with the data cords like normal pixels.

Just bought some, haven't used em yet: 9W high power led WS2811 controlled RGB flood light;addressable;IP66.

Found out that they take 3-pin 13.5 mm cables and connectors: BLACK 1.5m(5feet)3 core waterproof extension cable, one end with male, the other end with female, male connector's diameter:13.5mm.

Pinout, from Ray, is as in the attached.

    Regards,

    Dennis the Menace

The link says they are addressable, and also wireless. I don't see any wifi on the circuit board displayed on Ali website.

    To the OP

In my opinion , best all around RGB flood is RobG's 20w Pixel flood .

They are excellent in reliability and in light out put .

I would agree with this. The 10w are weak. Rob's 20w are bullet proof and bright.

I have ordered Ray Wu lights from aliexpress. I tried very hard to order from RobG. Tindie does no ship internationally or to freight forwarders (I live in Australia). And RobG does not reply when I send a message to him.

Somehow I manage get a hold of an old friend in US. He owns USPS. Tindie would not ship to his business either. They wanted proof that it belonged to my friend. I did not want to bother him that much.

Hence had to give up on RobG.

But looking at the images, the circuits looks very similar. Both are using the PT4115 for powering the leds.

Will leave a comment on the performance and efficiency of the LED
