Thanks, Thanks, Thanks, This board will be so helpful in so many ways... I have two to three neighbors that might let me extend into their yard, BUT running a network cable for about 150 feet and across the street is not an option... but it seems this is a great way...

If it was not for the prospect of this board... I would of figure out how to do remote and right now I have enough on my plate... Thanks again for answering all my questions

Does this board have an onboard FM transmitter?
If not, how would one run the stand alone mode with music?\
    WOOT! Christmas!

There is an auxiliary board with an MP3 player that hooks into the Helix for music production!

I'll see if I can incorporate a griddle and toaster in a future revision. I'll probably need to upgrade the power supply to do this. ;-)

On a serious note, I finally received the parts I need to prototype the revised PCB. I plan to wire it up this weekend to test it. I have a preliminary PCB layout that should work if the prototype works. Next I will order a PCB, solder it up and test it. If everything works out then hopefully we will open a PCB coop in Jan or Feb at the latest.

Greg - that's great!! And I can't say "thank you!" in any way that would do it justice - I think you have a very viable "commercial" product, and to allow all of us that want, to partake, is just amazing. Thanks!!! And I'm sure I speak for a LOT of others!

Did anyone doing the testing of this use it for there show last year.
If so how did it go?

Also approx when or if do you think the coop will run?

I know at least two of the testers have the parts but they didn't get them in time to use them in their display. A big part of the problem was getting the parts sourced from Futurlec. I think they said it took over 6 weeks to get the parts. I've since redesigned the board and eliminated Futurlec as a supplier.

I'm working on one more requested design change to make sure it will work. After I finish this I will be ordering a sample board. Once that is tested, I will open the coop. I have a couple of other things on my plate at this time but I hope to have it open by the end of Feburary.

Will the coop be just for the main board? Or will it contain any ssrs?

Well, this set up just may cause me to cease my soldering on the Ren-C & T boards, can the Olsens and Grinches and start over. Man, will my wife be happy.... NOT!

But, this design definitely has the potential to minimize clutter in the yard and I'm all for that!!!
Oh... I guess I'm not leaving the hobby. Just re-tooling.

    On order:
    Helix V3 - 32ch SSR daugher board & (2) standard daughter boards
    (4) DirkCheapSSR units

    In the process of building:
    (2) Ren24 SS boards
