Default Power injection testing . Surprising what little is needed .

This is my first time ever adding/attempting power injection .

    Using 10% output , here is 6 pixels shy of 3 universes with 1 injection @ pixel 504 .

@ full white there is very minimal heat transfer though increasing to 20% output the heat does get noticeable .

I can certainly imagine how folks were losing strip to melt down if running @ 100% .

Just thought I would share with those thinking on using strip but worried about heat and strip loss .

Have no fear if you have the right controller .

In my case testing , its the HinksPix16 now sold as the Easylights Pixel controller found here

    Hello Angus,
Looks great Iím looking into make a Pixel matrix with a top Round form.
    Iím between using
    12 mm pixel or
LED strip with 30 pixels per meter as the below pictures shows.

If I go with the LED strip i will have more pixel density, either of this 2 options I will need to do power injections.

So I wanted to ask you for which one of this w options do you think will work better.

And how Can I make this possible to control in vixen ? I was planning to install them vertical so I can have all the connections coming from below the matrix, but my question is since I have the top part of my Matrix curved if I will encounter any problems trying to display a right picture, what do you think in your experience?

Iím all new in this so I just want to approach it the best way possible.

    Thank you!

    Hi Rulos

That window is a great shape for a very cool matrix .
You may want to view some of the various pixel matrix videos on you tube to get a better feel for what your preference may be .
Still experimenting with matrix elements myself , so really can't say which is a better choice .

If using Vixen , you may want to pop into the Vixen forum and post a thread for matrix setup and the how to's .

Unfortunately I am not much help there as I have not used Vixen .

I look forward to following your build though and thanks for posting .
