    Default Glitter outdoors

Hi, Has anyone ever made anything like this ? I would like to hang it on the front of my house. I was wondering how I could waterproof the glitter at the same time I want to maintain the shine. Thanks

Years ago, for short term indoor use, I used a spray glue to stabilize some glitter. It worked but have no opinion on outdoor use. I wonder if a spray on varnish type would work? I used a similar product (not spray on) to protect my cedar mailbox. it lasts a couple years max and then needs a redo.

Depends on what your putting it on but any spray can clear coat should work. Spray, apply glitter while wet, spray over the top with a few coats. You could also get real fancy and get an automotive clear and mix the glitter in with the hardener then spray for a nice even distribution. A good automotive paint shop will also be able to mix you up spray cans with your desired mix so you don't have to have a compressor and spray guns.
