Nothing a little black tape can't fix That's what I did to my camera last year for the web control. You may just need to watch the exposure.

This is good. I want to see more people get into the webcam thing, as well as the web control concept.

I was talking a couple of months back about a group effort web control site but with time constraints etc it didn't eventuate to anything this year - perhaps it is something we can revisit for 2009. I've got some neat ideas to make it really simple for people to setup. Starting to get a bit off topic now, so I'll stop... :D

On the topic of webcams, I have one out in my tree watching my porch (my controller is hanging from the top of the porch, and thats were my speakers are attached).

If anyone wants to watch it, it runs 24/7 at http://maniaman.is-a-geek.net:8080/

I'm not sure how many people video mode/my connection can support without slowing down horribly or losing connection. You can refresh the first page (with the still picture) to get a new picture. No auto refresh.

It will be going down for a few minutes in a little while as i relocate its electrical feed.

Mine will be on most of the day today, as soon as I get done with coffee ;). I plan to get the roof lights up. Maybe the arches and mini trees.

It works. I thought it was a scam since it has never been turned on everytime I have checked it.
    Thanks,
    Brian, your friendly site Admin.

Nothing is wrong, it is just 'off ' for the night. I turn the software off also, so the web address is basically dead until I turn everything back on. ;)

Wayne, I was looking at your hardware setup. You are quite the artist when it comes to fabrication. It looks like you work in the EE field as a technician. Very impressive... I don't know that I'd weave my cabling. That metal case is also a wonder to behold.

Thanks! I work hard to make it look presentable. ;)

What I do for a living is build race car chassis, so fabrication is second nature, as does having 'the right tools' available.

The weaved cabling is just the power feeds. I wanted it to look 'neat', just don't know if I accomplished that.
