On the plus side we have created a way to create and link custom props that I will do a post on in the next few days.

Although not a custom prop editor it will help automate the linking that was so time consuming on custom props.
so, how does the guy at the beginning of this thread use the chromabulbs?

I'm not sure what you're expecting to do. The only XML files that vixen reads are those it creates itself.

it appears that someone created the chromabulb template in his profile. Then he copied the template xml file from his profile and shared it so someone else could use it. It was originally created in vixen, not some external tool.

nope. excel isn't a drawing tool. Those at xLights may not agree.

Vixen has the ability to save custom props from the preview screen, the challenge however is those custom props then had to manually be linked to the elements they were for. The XML file you see in this thread is one generated by Vixen.

If you would like send me pictures of what you're trying to create and I can use your item for my tutorial on how to create custom props that automatically link themselves.

Is it already wired? Do you have a picture if it is?

Is it already setup in Vixen? Do you have a picture if it is?

Yes - I created this in vixen preview for the 4th of july - then deleted to try and create a nicer version. (thats where I'm at now)

I recently did the Boscoyo "Star Wreath Topper" which is very similar to the "Star Wreath 3-ring".

Here is my \VixenDisplayPreview\Templates file I created in Vixen. Maybe you can use it and/or modify.
