While LED strands at full price can get pricey if you plan ahead and grab a bunch when they are on sale after Christmas then they are super cheap.

The day after Christmas I buy what I want to add to my display for the next year. When things start getting to 75%-90% off I start buying LED strands just to have because when they are that cheap its better to have them as a back up. At the end of 2015 I got 50 count LED strings for $0.74 a piece. But at the end of 2016 I think the cheapest I could find was 50 count for around $1.75-$2.

That's pretty good score when they're that cheap. I only use leds in the yard animals and critters, and no controllers for those. So that's all I use them for... as they lights fail, I switch them out to pixels.

This is my first wireframe year... wanted to bring back in some nostalgia- but they're being lit with pixels... so, mixing the old with the new I guess.... same with some new blowmolds I picked up... lighting with pixels...

Here's one of my Mickey heads I made last year with 1/4 clips and 4" zip ties. The clips stretch to fit the pixel and ziptie keeps them from popping out.

I order everything I use directly from Ray Wu. And Falcon Christmas for my controllers.

Those are pretty good prices for led strands. I guess, if I could find white leds - I could just get the colored cover clips for the wireframes.
