    has anyone built bill porter's espixel not the espixelGECE the square one..

    this one Capture.PNG

    I am looking for a picture of one put together and if anyone has success with it on ws2811.

    Much success, works great. Have three running year round for my window/garage trim.

    For 5V you don't populate the 5V regulator and install a jumper as shown in it's place.

    It uses the same code as PixelStick which is a safe 4 universes, some have down more but I don't recommend it.

    Bill,
    Is this board the same in function as Shelby's ESPixelStick?
    I can see that power circuitry as being the same in function, however, the espixelstick has a non inverting buffer chip on it. Not sure what it does. M74W1HC1GT12DT1G

    Yeah same function as his pixelstick. I didn't document or advertise it because I don't want to dilute this community. Needbin did some sleuthing to find it.

    I don't view it as a dilution, as your design is through hole and Shelby's is not.
