Setup
How do I set up my Pi in FPP to start running lights? I don't have any special hats or cards or anything. Do I just use the GPIO connections to my relay boards and addressable led strands? I looked at Falcon site but not finding what I need. Unless I'm overlooking.

Re: Setup
Most folks use the player to talk to controllers and not to control lights direct. With a player you connect via USB or ethernet. There are some limited connectivity you can do using GPIO pins, but as I understand it you must also power your lights directly from a power supply. The Pi basically controls the data signal.

Re: Setup
Any of the Renard controllers for the AC light strands (search SS8, SS16, SS24, TR16 or TR24) You can also find inexpensive Renard controller at the DIGWDF store
For the Pixels, depending on how many you are planning on, you may want to consider the ESPixelStick, it is a wireless controller that will run one strand of pixels up to 680± total and it runs under $20, they just completed the latest group buy but should have another soon (June/July time frame) or Renard Plus has a similar device also

Re: Setup
I purchased a Pi 3 and my current setup has a Falcon F16v2 w/ 5 Renrad boards. On the Pi, I connect it to the Falcon ether net and leave all other connections in tacked. Then in Pi webpage I configure it as if I would on the Falcon? Is that correct or do I have to connect the Renards to a USB port to the Pi?

Try this link as a starting point. If you are using Vixen then you can look here to find out how to export the file to Falcon Player format. If you go to the bottom of the link page you can get the manual in a PDF format, I would print it if you can or at least save it, I look up items in this manual all the time. It is for version 1.8 but 95% of it is the same in V1.9 of the player software.
