Try using tracert instead of ping. Tracert will tell you more about far you are getting and where you are getting blocked. I'm going to assume your laptop and desktop are Windows based. Open a command window and enter
tracert doityourselfchristmas.com
There will likely be several hops that are internal to your ISP but at some point it will transfer to doityourselfchristmas.com's ISP. Who to contact depends on where the blockage is.

Could be something similar. I had been browsing around the wiki earlier this week. What is interesting is I can no longer get to the site from work either. I also had just browsed around the wiki from my work computer before that happened.

Most likely you got IP banned. For some reason parts of the wiki, and opening too many pages at once can cause the server to auto ban you.

Macrosill will need your blocked IP addresses to unblock you. If you already sent those to him then he will probably get you straightened out soon.

Are you using "Data Saver" in Chrome on your mobile device? You find it in Chrome, under Settings, near the bottom of the list. What this does is route your mobile browsing through Google, where they compare it and then send it through your data plan. The problem this causes is that some websites see all these webpage request coming from only a handful of Google owned IP addresses and assume that those IP address are trying to create a Denial of Service attack, so it blocks those IP addresses. If you tune Data Saver" off, things should work right. I get this every time on the other DIY site. I just turn off data saver and the webpage request come directly from my IP address.

Smerk's IP was blocked by the firewall. All fixed now. Anytime someone has an issue reaching the site feel free to email me at admin or support at this domain or my username at yahoo.
