I'm 66 and last year was my first year with programmable lights. I've been wanting to do this for 10 years but didn't feel like putting out 4 or 5K for LED rope lights using LOR. I bought a 12 channel Gemmy sequencer and used that for about 5 or 6 years. Then someone at work said they were building a display using dumb pixels controlled by a Raspberry Pi. I started looking into it and ordered a LOR CTB16PC thinking I would just stick with strings the first year. Well then I started looking at pixels and decided I must do that so I bought an Alphapix from Holiday coro with 10 strings of pixels. So for this year I have ordered 25 more strings and a Falcon V3 to build a mini-megatree (~10ft). I've been tempted to put lights on my 60' ham radio tower but that is a little more than what I can afford for now. I'm guessing it would take at least 100 strings of lights. Thank you to all of the wonderful and helpful people on this forum.

You're covered by the plus on the last one.

I approaching 50 and at times my body hurts like an 80 year old when I get my display setup. Even the tear down hurts like hell. Kudos to those in their 70's and 80's that can still work like a 20 year old.

Looks like I'm with the majority! Started helping my dad put C9's on the porch many years ago with the wagons rolling by nightly!

There was a reason why one of the more common requests in the f16v3 development thread was for a bigger oled

Just shy of 59. Beginning my third year of display (though, still taking down second year lights...). Like many, we've been wanting to do this for years, just didn't have the time and/or the money. Hope the body holds up for as long as some of the rest of you.

Where did you decorate in Fort Lauderdale? I may have visited your display as a kid...

My house was in Delray beach. About 20 minutes north of Fort Lauderdale. Right off military trail.

May favorite part of this data was the timing. 30s and 50s were neck and and neck and way ahead of everyone else yesterday through late yesterday night. Then suddenly a whole bunch of 40s and 50s showed up this morning to the graph you see now.

Early risers? Or just wake up with the kids?
