Default Computer Geeks -- Cat5e Cheap in Red

I am not sure if this is the reight place to post this but here it is. I found this price at computergeeks.com

    www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=CAT5E-305M-RED&cat=CBL

I have order from this company in the past and I found them to be good. Like everywhere you need to check prices.

I have ordered computer components from them many times. I trust them to give fast and reliable service.
I do believe you need to put "Computer Geeks" in the thread title though.

    FYI:
I was told that the reason RED maybe cheap is that red cat5 can not be used in many buildings because the fire alarm wiring is all red. oh well when people ask me ... why it's red I am going to say I paid extra to get it in Christmas colors....;);)

$59.99 is not a bad price for CAT 5 in any color, you could probably do better with a little looking. Also there is no reason for you to use CAT 5 cable, none of the controllers are running ethernet only serial protocols. I use CAT 3 PVC which is a whole lot cheaper and easier to crimp connectors onto, you do not have to untwist every pair.

Where did you get that? I see a few places on the web that list cat3, but the prices look nearly the same as cat5. Are you still using 4 pairs, or just 2 pair?
