Will the 50 watt boards fit in the 20 watt enclosures listed above.

Yes, they should fit just fine, however, there cooling could be a problem when used in hot weather

Ok thank you. Shouldn't be a problem here in NYC. But ya never know. I'll give 1 or 2 a try first.

    Hello,

I bought the following 20W enclosures that RobG recommended:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/152510752392?var=451868620128

They fit RobG's 20W pixel boards just fine!

I noticed the enclosures come with power supplies with this rating:

    INPUT: AC85-265V 50-60Hz
    OUTPUT: DC21-36V 600mA

RobG's board is rated for a 24VDC power supply.

Is it possible to power RobG's board from the enclosure's power supply? If so, should I combine the DC output ground from the enclosure's power supply with the DC ground on the RobG's board GND line and my pixel controller's GND line to avoid any data signalling issues?

    Thanks!
    Tom

No, you cannot use them, they are constant current supplies.
