For the past two years I have used 60/M WS2812 5v strips. I had so many issues with them this year that I will be removing almost all of them from the show. I am in the process of designing a clip for the arches to hold bullet nodes. I expect that there will be about 150 bullet nodes on the arches when I am done.

2019 - Just moved into a new home (yet another change of plans). Will be dim but not dark. Too much to do at the new place to leave time for a show.

5ft diameter because EMT pipes come in 5ft pre-cut segments

The circumference of the semi-circle is about 7.8 feet - which worked out to be 142 pixels in 60/60. At more than about 150 pixels on 60/60 you need power injection not just from both sides, but also from the center, which is a pain. So 142 is just fine.

I was going for 144 pixels originally since that can nicely divide into a whole bunch of other numbers (so effects with groups of 2/3/4/6/8/9/12/16/18 pixels are all even), but 142 ended up working better to keep it out of the water... Oh well... It was a nice plan while it lasted.
    2017: 33069 pixels, 24 E682's. 50 A/C with 2 LOR
    2016: 21500 pixels, 24 E682's. 6 A/C with 2 LOR
    2015: 7500 pixels, 11 E682's. 35 A/C with 3 LOR
    ...
    2011: 64 A/C channels with 5 LOR

+1 On it being a bad idea to use WS2812 strips. I'm also planning on moving to bullets or squares for next year.

I've used WS2813 strips this year on 4 of my arches, and it seems to be better. Not perfect though - I had one arch temporarily freeze up during a CMY test pattern run in 20 degree weather. But much better than my WS2812 strips.

How does bullets work with HDPE arches?

I can only go 4ft6 wide. Since I can't buy hdpe where I live. Nor pex or pert tubing.
So only acrylat opal tubes here at 6ft8.
    Which req hot-bending by myself.

I bought 10' pre cut sections. They work out to be 6' wide and about 3' tall. They are a mashup of Johnson and Chuchla designs. I have 8 in my display, using 60/20 strips, using 56 pixels in each arch. Worked out great to run two arches back to back per power supply and input. Love mine, they were my first venture into pixels.

Jon, why 12.5' and 66 pixels instead of shorter and only 60 pixels? I was thinking something around 64 pixels since that is divisible by 8 and that is what most of the music would time really good to... Just a thought.
