Yes to both? You sure about that? The pictures in his ebay link look like the old-style thick housings with the electronics in the back.

If I understand correctly, these boards will need the new-style thin housings with electronics below (not behind) the reflector where there is black-painted glass. Like this...

    Correct?

Yes, but if you can find the wider thin ones you are better off. Since there will be more room for the 8266. Issue you are correct as I look more closely, there is no blacked out area below the Led. The wider versions I own have the silk screen on the top.

To be more accurate you really need to see the back.

Still trying to decide between 20W and 30W but looking forward to the new boards. I am currently running your 10W boards and this would be a nice upgrade.

For the 10 Watts I am running 3 in a row powered from my controller with no additional power and they work fine. What would I need to do differently to go 20W or 30W? Do I have to run power to each one individually?

    Thanks
2014 - pretty basic static display
2015 - lots of Blinky Flashy
    5 x Renard SS24
    2 x Renard SS16 for singing trees
    2 x e682 for around 2000 pixels
2016 - Up to around 12,000 pixels and still wanting more.

Works as expected. I've got 5 of them working on the eves of my house running for 6 hrs nightly for the past month without any issue.
