I was told the MeanWell power supplies will shut down due to short circuit protection. Is the data sheet for the SE350 the same for all other MeanWell (12v versus 5V)?

I'd be interested in seeing how my bench top computer power supply fairs. I've shorted the output and it just trips offline until the input power is cycled. I guess more importantly, if a short is introduced after the supply is already up. That being said, everything in my setup is fused already. Thanks for sharing this test!

Yes they do and the SE-350 spec sheet is for all SE-350 voltages but it does not mention anything about shorts. http://holiday.lighting/specificatio...E-350-SPEC.PDF
The SE Series has the following protections:
Protections: Short circuit / Overload / Over voltage/ Over temperature
OVER LOAD
105 ~ 135% rated output power
Protection type: Constant current limiting, recovers automatically after fault condition is removed.
OVER VOLTAGE
5v: 5.75 ~ 7.5V
12v: 13.8 ~ 16.2V
Protection type: Shutdown O/P voltage, re-power to recover
OVER TEMPERATURE (Detect on case)
90C +/- 5C (3.3 ~ 7.5V)
85C +/1 4C (12 ~ 15V)
Protection Type: Shut down O/P voltage, recovers automatically after temperature goes down.
I only sell the LRS series now because they are cheaper and take up less room and have better specs. https://holiday.lighting/specificati...S-350-SPEC.PDF
