[QUOTE=nailhead_ford;425680]So I have made a “poor mans” version to make a light arch base that I will share with you. Materials are less than $3 bucks and takes a small bit of modifications. These definitely don’t look as good as the bases sold by lightsonmontague at http://doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/showthread.php?42850-Sharkbite-arch or livinglightshows at http://doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/showthread.php?42362-HDPE-Arch-Kits&highlight=livinglightshows, but you get what you pay for!

How did you bend the sharkbite to fit your design? Thanks

I would like to say because of my brute strength, but in reality sharkbite is flexible.

I agree it's not much, but if it "really" bothers you buy schedule 80.
    2009 - 48 channel MegaTree 4800 lights
    plus 3200 lights static display.
2010 - 6 Snowflakes on heavy equipment stored in front yard :-(
    2011 - 72 channel Megatree 7520 lights,
120 channel total about 10k lights total

    BOM For 1” sharkbite
    2 – ¾” PVC ‘T’ connectors
    2 – ¾” PVC elbows
    1 – ¾” PVC schedule 40 tubing
¾” stainless self-tapping screws or equivalent
You can replace the two elbows for ‘T’ connectors if you would like to daisy chain your arches.

    Directions
1” sharkbite is 1/16” of an inch too large to fit into the ¾” fitting. You will need to take a dremel to open up the hole in the ‘T’ fitting so the sharkbite will fit snug but not overly tight or loose.
I cut two 3” long pieces of the pvc to connect to the ‘T’ fitting holding the sharkbite to the elbow.
The spreader cut to desired length for your arch.
Use self-tapping screws to secure the spreader bar to the elbow. You could solvent weld the spreader to the fitting, I just wanted my easy to dissemble.
    Grate job
Is the bigger arch a 2'' and the little ones 1 " and how many pixels are going to use in each one and how are you wiring them
    Thanks Bob

    You are correct.

    Large - 2" HDPE, 10' long, 29 - 30/10 pixels
Med- 1" shark bite, cut to fit to follow curves don't remember exactly length, 21 - 30/10 pixels
    SM- 1" sharkbite, 5', 15 - 30/10 pixles

All larges wired in series on 1 output
All mediums in series on 1 output
All smalls in series on 1 output

I have a total of 4 triple arches running on a seperate e682 channel. If you had a pixlite or falcon I am sure you could zigzag on 1 output pretty easily

Built these and they look great!

Don't suppose you also got a real cheap way of anchoring these down so they don't blow over in the wind?

I used these aluminum tent posts that have a hole in the top. Cost about a $1 per. Put a zip tie through the hole and around a leg. Push into the ground. Used 2 per arch. Bought at Dick's sporting goods.
