dimming question

I bought a bunch of 595 boards last year and got the parts real late so didnt get to do a display. I seen some threads that say 595 can dim how is this possible i was told it couldnt when i bought??? please explain what i need to do this thanks

You need what is called a Ren-C. Give this a read....

One of those boards can do 128 channels? i have 3- 64 595's
