    Default Renard Serial Cable Help.

    Here is where I am at.

    I have -

    2 Renard SS16's -
    1 Renard SS24.

    Currently I am coming out of my PC

    Serial Cable --> into the SS24 -->(Straight trough Ethernet Cable)--> SS16 -->(Straight trough Ethernet Cable)--> SS16

    Everything works

    I have attempted with out success to create the Renard SS RS232 Data Cable Several times.

    I have just gotten my hands on a few of these

    Any help here would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance for the help.

    Take a look inside the RJ45 jack to make sure a pin is not out of place. Sometimes they get bent or pushed down and don't make contact.

    Posting a picture of at least the RJ45 end may help. Also the picture of the DE9 end may confuse you.

    Here is the Diagram of the connector I have.

    http://downloads.monoprice.com/files...ram_101221.pdf

    Based upon what I see -->

    Blue ----> Pin 3
    Red, Green, Orange ----> Pin 5

    Once I have done this. I should be able to create a (Renard to Renard Cable) ???

    @mindtrik

    I don't have any photos - as I have taken apart everything I did to make the Serial Cable.

    So now I will be starting from scratch.

    I do have a multi-meter with continuity.
