Trick is to solder them in but not overheat them so they blow again with heat.![]()
I have tested my setup tonight after setting it up and blew out my on my channels. I am running the 2a 8ch SSR boards from sainsmart powered by an arduino mega. In return this setup is powering C9 strings, one string per channel. I over looked one thing, the fuses in the strings are 5a, and the boards are rated at 2a, the strings only pull 1.47a, but I shorted out a bulb tonight. I am working on a way to fuse all my outputs (32ch) but for now, I need to repair the board. Here is an image of what popped, I am assuming that its a fused resistor of some sort but not sure.
What is it so I can order and replace it. I have voltage to one side of it so I know the SSR is still operational.
Thanks, and move the post if its in the wrong place.....

Thanks, I kept digging after posting last night. I found lower fuses to put in the individual strings and the barrel fuses on the board look like they are stamped 4A. For now I am going to use one of my extra channels and repair the board later. Thanks for the link.
