I want to say a big THANK YOU...

My display on the house was hit with an EMP from a lightning storm which caused a lot of damage to a large percentage of pixels and controllers. This has put me under the gun tremendously for hitting a deadline which is coming up fast. Two local area lighters, Michael King and Greg Scull (Komby) came over today to help.


Greg took off work and spent half the day helping out.

Michael spent his day off here all day until dusk helping with cable management and cleaning up of the overall yard display connections. I know he will be hurting tomorrow.

These two guys gave me back a day that I really could not afford to loose. I still have not finished the repairs, but because of the generosity of their time, I am not so far behind and might just make it if all goes well tomorrow..

This time running behind wasn't in my control. I'm guessing you are just startin late! LOL

I have spent 3 days restoring the Plasma Icicles and the system that drives them and I should be able to finish tomorrow. Still haven't fixed the window controller yet.

You must have had a good strike nearby. I bet you're going to be working on adding lightning protection devices soon.
With all of the long "antenna grids" we string around our houses, it's surprising we don't hear more stories about lightning damage.

Good point.. we never really do stop and start.. except for dinner and breakfast of course.. Perhaps not in that order

We had an amazing storm. I am surprised my cameras didn't go out, but I recorded some pretty close flashes by the looks of them.

I have all of the Icicles hanging off EMT and I am sure that didn't help, especially since the power supply common was connecting all the EMT together. Won't make that mistake again..
