The actual machine time is really minimal. It takes longer to load the fixture that holds a load of them than to cut them. As far as cutting the vinyl end cap, you could. The cap is only blocking the light. I believe these modules only come epoxy filled and all the other parts that make the kit are good to be outdoors.

Would you guys rather I put a series of holes for a bullet node to go in? I'm thinking either 3 or 5 and you can decide how many you want to get the desired brightness. The only issue is getting the node to lock in place. It will require the nodes to be either hot glued or silicone to hold the node in. The second issue is light will bleed out around the back since the bullets are clear. The modules point all the light into the tube.

If we go this way with bullets then I could offer them with no node holes as a special order.

These seem like a perfect time to use the modules rather than pixels. My .02.

They don't need to drain because the node is potted....bullets don't give the same effect. Also as long as he doesn't completely deal the ends..water will drain out. James they make an end cap that looks like a drawings tube end...that's what I use. I had zero issues with water

    No bullets, no node holes.
I'm thinking RGB strips with a micro arduino, battery powered. Everything installed in the pipe.

Actually I made 3 almost the same way. Duplex box with dumb rectangular LED inside, Eyes cut out of blank cover. 9V battery on outside of the box. But that being said.. I'm scraping them in favor of James tubes, battery powered.

I just want more eyes, maybe a burly cyclops, and another set of weird ones. We could use the screw holes for the module to float free iris if you want a set of none cartoonist eyes, but I love the scooby do type eyes.

Cool thing about the cyclops is you could get two of them for a larger set of eyes!

Come on over I can give you a kick! I just ordered enough material to make 100+/- sets of 6. Can I send you a bill?

Let me know when you are ready to order, I'll take care of you.
