    Nothing in the source would cause that. What are you using for a programmer? You seeing anything in the serial monitor when resetting or entering programming mode? Boards powered?

    Here's the interesting part, works on windows not on linux. Everything else is the same. Got 1.3 loaded and testing. Working well.....

    Are you running Linux from a VM or native? I ran into issues keeping a good serial connection with my Kali VM in Virtual Box, but it was solid on my bare metal machine.

    Native, actually my windows is running in a VMWARE machine.

    That's odd. I was thinking my issues were VirtualBox related. What distro are you on what's the chipset of your adapter? I was using the CP2102 on my NodeMCU. Kali 2.0 from a VM and Kali 1.0 native. Both Debian based. Sounds like it may be an issue with the ESP flash program and newer Linux releases.

    I was just wondering if anyone has tested ESPPixelStick with more than 1 universe(Multicasting), at any speed.
    I am using V1.3, It works quite well upto 170 Pixels. As soon as I go over 170, it becomes really slow at refreshing.
    Reading the Forkineye / Github site, it claims 4 Universes and 25ms refresh, but I am getting more like 500ms - 1s.
    4 Universes show be more than achievable, based on the 800KHz/24bits/680Pixels = 49Hz ish
    Any help, most appreciated.

    Multicast is only supported for a single universe and you need to be on a dedicated network or it will fall back to your DTIM rate if any devices with power management connect. Sounds like your e1.31 source maybe be wireless as well. Can't do that or you'll get all sorts of lag due to the simplex nature of wifi.

    I've been curious about this question. I haven't tried yet, as right now I'm worried about getting all my GECE stuff going (I'll only be driving 62 Pixels per PixelStick) but exactly how would you connect more than one string of 170 Pixels for a second universe on the ESPixelStick? Photos? Or am I missing something?

    One more question, I know that these are e1.31, but is it possible to run Renard over these as well with code changes?

    You just chain them together, one big strings of 680 pixels. As for Renard, do you mean for output? madsci1016 has support for it in his fork here. I'm planning on pulling his changes into the main branch, just haven't had time to work on it yet.

    As for an example of multiple universes, my test matrix is made out of 720 WS2812 nodes, connected as one continuous strip:
