I put my line buffers within 12" from the controller. My longest distance is 125' over cat 5e without any issues.

THIS changes my whole way of thinking about my layout! Thanks!

    Right here

BTW, 18/3C cables (like Ray's) are really bad for data. If you want to get good distance, I suggest using CAT5 to run data separately to the first flood.
18/2C + 22/1P is also good and you can run both, data and power.

I own some of the uAmps and the Buffer/line drivers, and other than the significant difference in cost, they work equally well. The thing I like about the uAmps, is that they have a power LED that you can see through the PVC and lets you know that you have line power. If this could be added to the design of the Buffer/line drivers (I don't know how this could be incorporated into 5v vs. 12v) without much additional cost, this would be a good feature.
Yes, I could add my own resistor and LED, and not asking for a design change, but it was a thought.
    That's a feature not a bug.
    There's no charge for that.

I'm interested in getting a bunch of these but what are the prices in column J that are on many of the international orders?
Trying to decide whether it's cheaper to drive to USA (costs around $60cdn) to pickup or just have shipped to Canada. Thinking about 30-40 of them.
Thought Column J was perhaps the total after exchange but it doesn't look consistent so thought I'd ask.

It appears as though your have to place your order via a google sheet ... how does that relate to the actual order placement and eventual payment due??
