Have you thought about adding a differential transceiver to the board to make it 4 wire between Floods? It will eliminate the short distance between pixels problem and greatly increase noise immunity.

The first flood (presumably closest to the pixel controller) could just have it's inverting pin tied to GND to get the data non-differential and then every flood after that could be any reasonable length of cable away. (100's of feet with power injection). Less than a buck to add the part....

+1 for through-hole unless the smd part (s) are already pre-affixed to the board.

Looks like the through hole version will be the first one sent off, China is just wrapping up their holidays and hope to have the boards back in 3-4 weeks. I am still going to send off the SMD version but will only be for a few copies so ~10 will be available as PCB only unless a larger demand shows up
    .
Here is the layout of the board I will be sending off this week:

Let me know what you think.

Runs on 12V and ~900ma per flood light on white which is less than 1/3 string of ws2811 strip lights. I have comments to the effect of 50 boards, but I need to develop a firm commitment list, so here are the details:

Cost with BOM would be around 3.75 to 4.00 plus shipping, PCB by itself 2.50 plus shipping. (Shipping is the killer for the PCB costs).
It will be payable via PayPal. Depending on level of interest I may be able to find lower prices for the the BOM and PCB.

Also, I'll up my commitment from 4 to 6 PCB's and BOM's please and thank you. Let us know where to send the money!

    Thank you for doing this,

    Shane
