This is the posting as to who may have interest in this initial build in order of interest response.
This will be kept up to date.
This is not a group buy. That will come later, if the folks that build this controller into an smd reflow oven believe it to be a good and worthy project. We are going to be the beta testers of this technology.
As a reminder, my goal was to find 8 other folks to do a build.
PLEASE do not commit to doing this unless you plan to actually build the board into a reflow oven by Christmas
AND be willing to share your experiences with the DIYC community and post your results including pictures.
So, Please PM me if you do NOT want to be part of this initial community build project and I will remove you from the list below.
The items I can provide, for sure, are the bare PCB and the two special heatsinks that the board was designed to handle.
In fact, these are the two items mandatory to purchase. You should expect these to be about $15 total, shipped.
Since the number of participants is small, I can also provide whatever parts we may need on a person by person basis. I'll be working on the BOM this week so you can figure out what you may already have and what you may need.
For example, I have several Arduino nano Pro's in my project stash, so I won't need to buy one.
Again, the goal is to confirm this technology works so that others can confidently build these ovens in the future for newer blinky flashy DIYC projects !
With that said, here is the initial list:
1. dpitts
2. kingofkya
3. xmasingalt
4. budude
5. skunberg
6. gdyrdave
7. critic2
8. Uilnaydar
9. Roterhead

I would suggest the "BOM" include an optional soldering kit consisting of a flux pen, solder paste and perhaps a plunger and needle for the paste. I like the zeph stuff and they have some good articles there as well - http://www.zeph.com/. My paste has long since expired (although it "looks" fine...).

There is now room for another person or two to join the beta build.
Check post #14 for the current status.
Do these ovens come with a built in pick and place machine? Lol! that's my biggest barrier to entry into smd.
