OK let's throw out some dates. If we keep it in the same time frame as before., we have May 31, June 7, or June 14.

Since we need to start somewhere, how about June 14?

    Thoughts?

Bumping for anyone who has other date requests.

Otherwise it looks like everyone I've heard from is happy with the 14th so far.

    OK lets talk topics.

One request I've gotten a couple of times (and I'd like to see also) is a discussion about software, especially where it's changed/improved in the past couple of years. There's a lot more options out there now than there used to be: LOR/Superstar, LightShow Pro, Vixen2, Vixen+, Vixen3, HLS, Falcon Pi Player, and I'm probably forgetting some... Anyone want to step up and cover one or more of the above?

Any other topic requests, or volunteers to lead something you think would be of interest?

I was one of the Beta testers last year for Vixen+ so I should be able to handle it. I used only use Vixen 2.5 but I found so many bugs in it while testing Vixen+ that I’m actually scared to use it anymore. I haven’t really used Vixen 2.1 much lately but could do that also if nobody else steps up.

I really don't see a need to cover both Vixen 2.1 and 2.5, They are really the same on the front end that people use. It's under the hood that's different and some PCs like one flavor and some like the other and of course some like both. I used 2.1 with pixels this year. Not a big deal but lots of boxes to fill in ;-)

I don't even know enough about FPP to be dangerous. But I plan to use it this year. I could bring the hardware and maybe answer questions.

Being really new not sure what I can bring to the table, I am going to use HLS this year (have a link to a singing mega tree under HLS thread) so I could probably tell you what not to do (tend to jump with both feet right in the middle, figure no sense just dipping a toe). We are going all LED with a Pixel Mega Tree so I am really curious about dimming curves and trying to make sense out of them.

I can give 10 minutes on LSP which I've used for 3 years now. I can talk about using it with regards both in a wired and wireless environment.
