    I added the header, Jack requested it the other night but I totally spaced it.

    I could not find documentation of the header but think I found what I needed...

    Pin 4 data out from RS485 IN

    Dave,

    This looks like it will be the answer to my prayers. For the past several days, I've been trying to figure out how I'd be able to drive 5050 led dumb RGB strips, but there wasn't a controller that would handle enough current. I'd prefer to go renard, so this would fit the bill perfectly. I'm hoping to get a Raspberry PI running this year as a show computer running one of your e1.31 DMX/Renard bridges feeding into some e682's and Renards. I'll contact the board president of our local Christmas decorating committe to see how many we can get. What enclosure are you thinking of using for these?

    Tommy

    Documented here and yep you got it right.

    JP2 XBee Header

    This header is used to connect a XBee Wireless module directly to the Renard RGB+W. If you are not using a XBee Wireless module, the default jumper position is a jumper across pins 4/5.
    Pin Layout
    1 = +5VDC
    2 = N/C
    3 = GND
    4 = RX from 485 chip

    5 = RX in to PIC

    I guess I was looking in the wrong place, Thought that the RenW header would be somewhere in the RenW documentation but could not find a single reference that it exists nor any RenW boards that have the header... Is this just a cable that goes from an JR45 to the header?

    I'd be in for at least one, quite possibly two, still crunching numbers, setting budget.
