    Default Year-To-Year "Upgrading"

I'm trying to figure out a way to "upgrade" my current sequences to include additions planned for next year. It uses a profile with the channels set up. How are people doing the "upgrading" of making an older sequence work with new additions?

The ways I can think of are as follows:
1.) Add channels to the current profile and adjust the sequence preview as necessary.

2.) Make a new profile for 2008, then make new sequences and copy the event values channel-by-channel from the old to the new.

    Opinions?

On a copy of your sequence detach your sequence from the profile so all the profile config is copied to the .vix file. Then add your new channels and "adjust" your preview and then create a new from the settings in the sequence file.

    Matt,
I added so many channels last year, more than doubled the 128 I had. There was also and entire channel reconfiguration that I could only do option 2. If you only have a low number of channels to add then I would go option 1. I think I am going with option 2 again as I will be adding about 200 more channels to push me over 500.
    Thanks,
    Brian, your friendly site Admin.

2013 stats, if all goes as planned:
    2688 pixels, 4 E68x, 1450 RGB leds, 90 DMX channels

I'm going from 36 channels last year to hopefully about 80 this year. Completely changing the channel mappings along with it, so I'm going with option #2.

Because I am adding roughly 150 extra channels, and also trying to maximise the load on the transformers, the lights will be be totally remapped, so I'll be copying any old sequence data manually - messy, but since I have to add any dimming as well, it will be a long sequence anyway.

I'm only reusing 2 small songs from last year, but might copy the WIW sequence and update it to use the new gear as well, more for fun. It might only be played a few nights a week this year though
