It's worse for me. Now I get no preview.

I have a blank preview window that has to following:

    FPS 21
    Points 2803
    Pixels 0(rest unreadable)
    Render Time: Constantly changing
    Max Render: 75
    Average Render : Constantly changing

    Two things,

it looks like you are using the new Direct2D prevew... (which is good., but your system may not like it, some dont), when you edit your preview, you can select the Performance drop down and change it to use the GDI preview (original). If that clears it up for you great... If not,

can you send me your Error.log file? I would guess that something is happening under the hood that V3 doesnt like, and knowing what that is will be a big help

No go. Now it's a lovely mauve color.

The good news is.... I've replicated the error....

Can you go into the 'Configure Preview' screen and make sure you have a background set... my mauve color came when no background image was set....

if one IS set... then make a small change.. and save the preview.. THen before you do anything else... completely exit out of V3... and restart it... if all else goes well, then the preview screen should show the correct image...

Ok, I added a picture to the preview and that part is fixed. I ran some simple tests with wipes and it's looking very promising now. I will beat it up this weekend and report back.

    Thanks!

Well, I installed onto a different machine, disabled the GDI, now it crashes on startup...

I'm still having troubles with the preview. My 24 string pixel mega tree works fine, yet two strings of pixels that line a fence cause the preview to lock up. I cannot make a matrix using the smart objects - they don't work. Same with my pixel mini trees.
