We've kicked the idea of a standalone controller around for quite a while. It just might be time to do something about it. The Propeller chip is the natural choice for doing all the housekeeping. Add an MP3 decoder chip and an SD/MMC card and you're all set.

A board that self adjusts to my needs as I need it. If I need to control 30 circuits or 255 circuits. It just goes out and does it. Plus the controller will automatically configure it self to what ever music I send it. Without the need for me to create a sequence in Vixen.

Ok, that should be good for starters.

    Thanks

    rrowan,

Costco and Lowes had these boxes. Plug in power, lights and your done.
With all due respect, I enjoy sequencing with Vixen. And, It's what makes each and every display unique.

    Relax Brad,

I was just being silly. I have nothing against Vixen. I enjoy using it and look forward to a 2008 Display powered by Vixen.

The robolight is done in several incarnations, different ways of implementing it thanks to RJ and JEC!

There are also commercial solutions out there.
