I just got through playing a test sequence with my helix / ethernode / E682 setup. Here is my setup:
    Helix V3
    2 x 32 channel SSR daughter boards
    16 channel LOR controller
    Ethernode
    E682
    12 strands of 50 2811 pixels

Yes, I used two E682 boards with the current firmware and set for Unicast mode.

Update: I misunderstood the channel mapping page. I corrected my channel map on the ethernode and my 12 strands are running perfectly.
    Thanks Greg!

I'm jealous. I'm still building my ether-node board and waiting for my pixels and E682 kit.

I'd love to hear any other info you've learned along the way that could be helpful.

mlevings are you using Vixen 2.x with the ether-node controller? In Greg's post in this forum he discusses Vixen 2.x but I some discussion in the Helix-Vixen3 forum as well about Vixen 3.

Just trying to determine if I should be revising my sequences in Vixen 3, or just keep working in Vixen 2.x.

    Thanks,
    Bryan

I did a quick test sequence in vixen 2. I made a test sequence in vixen 3 and used teberle's virtual helix controller to export it, but I couldn't make it work. The file was not readable by helix or vixen 2. I've emailed teberle about the problem and am really hoping he can fix it. I'm starting from scratch sequencing and vixen 3 would be a real time saver. I haven't found any usable vixen 2 sequences that I could just patch in my pixel tree and pixel arches.

Thanks. It seems like using Vixen 2.x would be difficult for pixels.

I'm assuming you need to use 3 channels for each pixel light?

Time to research more but if that is true

Sorry hit the send button on my iPhone...

...if that is true I would need 300 channels programmed in Vixen 2.x for a 100 pixel string. I'm going to need a larger monitor so I can see at least a good portion of those

That is correct, you need 3 channels per pixel.

Just a quick pointer to keep in mind when sequencing for the ethernode....
    1. Make sure you end every sequence with the pixels off on the last frame. The pixels will hold their last command when the sequence stops.
    2. When building the show in Helix, place a 5 second pause between each sequence and after the last one. If you don't the ethernode won't have time to reset and will stop after the first sequence.
