    Joe,

Whatever you did seems to have worked for me in Parallels on the Mac. I see the lights!

    Major thanks!

Actually, I spoke too soon. It turns out that I can see the lights in the preview when I don't have my external monitor plugged in. When everything is just on the notebook screen, everything works fine. I can edit the preview, see the lights, etc... As soon as I plugin the external monitor, it no longer works. I'm wondering if all my previous tests were with the external monitor plugged in. It may be the case where this is the first time you happen to do a release while I was sitting on the couch watching TV and didn't have the monitor plugged in.

In any case, I at least now know how to get a working preview. :-) Not sure if the above helps you at all.

Run preview on laptop - get debug file.
    Shut Preview down.
    Plug in External Monitor.
Run preview - get debug file.

    Compare the two.

Send to me so I can look also.

I tried with the monitor connected and not and there is absolutely no difference in the DebugGraphicsAdapter.txt file. A "diff" showed absolutely no differences. Kind of strange.

I have another "question" though. I've attached two different screenshots of the preview. The "Preview-Accelerated" shot is one with the DirectX acceleration turned on (and no external monitor or you'd just see the background image). The "Preview-Software" shot is with the acceleration turned off so only the software renderer is used. Note the major difference in the size of the lights. I'm not really sure what the "intended" size is. They both have advantages and disadvantages. The larger size certainly makes the tombstones more visible and "pop", particularly against the snow. (I REALLY need a picture without snow... downside of living in New England I guess). However, the smaller size works better for the icicles.

Doesn't really matter either way, but it is an interesting observation.

    I use hardware Vertex processing.

It appears the software implementation does not match the hardwqare implementation.

I use a three pixel "Pixel" - your software is ignoring the 3 pixel request and just producing a 1 pixel "Pixel".

    Hope that helps.

HI Joe , just thought i would reply finally after playing around with the preview, I have it Working!!!!!!!!, i started from scratch and so far so good.
Next problem is i have a single mega tree 12*25pix setup as P/Plane. i can add ramp up/down and preview works with this.
When i try to add PP custom effect i get this popup box "No Type has been Assigned to this Pixel Plane", What am doing wrong now?, LOL!!

You have not told HLS what kind of a PixelPlane it is.

Under Manage Channels - use the PixelPlane Manager.

I also show it on the PixelPlane videos.
