Default Droidifi - Android on wireless routers

Droidifi is an Android OS replacement for stock OEM firmware for off-the-shelf wireless routers.

    Sample Droidifi feature list:

    Mesh networking
    Power boost
Android USB APK support (i.e. Arduino devices, etc)
    USB storage and camera support

Sample of installable feature additions via Android apps:
    - IPSec, OpenVPN, PPTP
    - Web server
    - DNS/BIND server
    - File server
    - Cloud storage
    - Network scanning
    - Firewalls, parental controls
    - QoS bandwidth management
    - Baby monitor (via USB camera)
    - Security system (via USB camera)
    .. etc ..

We intend to release a standard Android Java API for independent developers so you can develop your own "Droidifi" apps using the Android Eclipse enironment. These are standard Android Apps using our Droidifi framework extensions.

Initial beta firmware release is for the ASUS RT-AC66U, Cisco/Linksys E6500, and Netgear R6300 routers. Others to follow per popular demand.

    Hardware specs -

    128-256 MB flash (model dependent)
    256 MB RAM
    2x USB 2.0 ports
    600 MHz MIPS CPU
    5x Gbit Ethernet ports
    Dual, simultaneous 802.11g & 802.11a Wifi
    1.7 Gb/sec wireless speeds (on 802.11a)

If there is enough interest we may launch this as a Kickstarter project with an initial beta release in December 2012.

Is anyone here interested in this?
