Minleon to the Purchase the Industry?s Premier RGB Light Show Pro Software
by admin, Yesterday at 10:46 PM

Minleon International Ltd (A China-based manufacturer of LED holiday and d?cor lighting products), and Minleon International (USA) Ltd (it?s USA-based affiliate) have announced the purchase of LightShow Pro, a California-based software company and the leading provider of RGB light sequence software in the industry. The purchase is effective immediately.

Minleon is the largest supplier of LED holiday replacement bulbs to the USA commercial market. Operating since 2005, Minleon established its dominant market share by manufacturing a full product line of quality LED replacement bulbs. In 2009, Minleon added to its product line by offering the first ?dimming? LED replacement bulb capable of consistently performing with the industry?s automated light sequencing software. This past January Minleon introduced its new line of RGB-LED lighting products, including RGB bulbs and RGB light controllers, at the country?s largest holiday lighting shows in Atlanta and Dallas, and the internationally acclaimed ChristmasWorld2012 show in Germany.

At a recent technical conference in Florida, Minleon explained the purchase by indicating RGB lighting is the future of USA holiday and d?cor lighting. And with Minleon manufacturing the industry?s most comprehensive line of RGB light strings, coupled with manufacturing a diverse line of RGB light controllers, the procurement of related RGB software was a natural ?fit? to complete the vertical integration of its RGB operation. This combination, layered with Minleon?s current and growing distribution channels, will make Minleon a leader in the LED-RGB lighting industry.

LightShow Pro, developed by GraphXPros (www.GraphXPros.com) is the ?next generation? of holiday light show design software focusing on RGB lighting, empowering its users to leverage the latest RGB devices and hardware. Building a success record since its inception in 2005, LightShow Pro has been dedication to innovation, quality, and stability, powering some of the best displays in the industry. LightShow Pro is the #1 RGB sequencer in the marketplace. Please visit our website at www.lightshowpro.com.

Minleon and LightShow Pro plan an immediate and seamless ownership transition. The transition coincides with the release of the new LightShow Pro version 2.5 offering many new value-added features. Moving forward Minleon plans to leverage key LightShow Pro resources and continue to evolve the software to meet the needs of creating the best RGB light shows. As such, dedicated support for our new RGB hardware will be included with LightShow Pro v2.5. More information and specifications of the new Minleon RGB hardware controllers will be posted shortly.

Thanks for the info - it makes sense now.....
LSP was going to have a sale throughout the whole month of July, but it was terminated without any comments after one or two days and questions about it were just ignored.

Not sure it was related to the shortened sale or not, but info about any details was hard to come by for the last few weeks as well.

From what I heard, even those that were working on beta testing of the planned new release hadn't heard anything for the last few weeks too.

I'm hoping that LSP will stay on the cutting edge of innovation, but with some additional resources to help things along.

While LSP did take the sale price off the web site after a couple of days, I was still able to get the professional version discounted $200.00 when I contacted David directly. Not sure how I feel about the new ownership and how the upgrade process to 2.5 will pan out. I guess we'll see....... I'll probably stick with 2.0 since Sean got Nutcracker working now.....

I imagine the outcome of the purchase will be less development but much lower pricing if it follows other economic models I have seen deployed in similar situations.

Hi Bill - thank you for the correspondence of below, it is appreciated. We at Minleon look forward working with you and the other users of LSP.

Regarding your items of below, Minleon understands the importance of a 'robust' relationship with the DIY community and does plan on continuing to support the DIY community, including the flexibility with the protocols and the variety of controllers the software supports.

Regarding the 'plans' going forward. David and Minleon plan a 'seemless' transition, including continuing the current v2.5 'beta process' to its previously planned end. The transfer of the business to Minleon will not effect its process, or David's participation thereof. Further, the process will not be delayed. Further, we expect no major changes, operationally or pricing-wise, as we move forward.

In closing, I will be issuing a 'follow-up' statement this evening on the LSP website assuring all current user of this, but please feel free to share with the DIY community immediately as you see fit. And again, thank you for your comments/suggestions!

    Dean of Minleon USA.

Congratulations to your resent acquisition of Light Show Pro. Please understand that I am not affiliated with LSP, but am a avid user and supporter. I hope the future you have planned for this product will continue to support the DIY community by supporting the flexibility with in the protocols and variety of controllers this software supports. I know during this time of transition is critical for you, but if some sort of statement can be communicated even emailed back to me a statement , so I may share with the DIY format.

Thank you, and again congratulations on your venture,

    Bill
