The video of the stars looks good... One thing I like about the enclosed stars is that they have a very defined light pattern. I think they are going to be an awesome addition to your show.
I am thinking of adding 160 of these to my display all over the show.
How long did it take you to build the 10? Did you use hot glue or an epoxy to seal the pigtails into place?
I am planning on using an epoxy for the pigtail holes. Also I am using double sided tape to mount the pixel to the back. That way it can be removed in case of failure amd heat/cold should not be a problem.

I didn't take very long at all, probably a couple of hours total. Only one of the holes for the pigtails is drilled so I had to drill the other hole (there is a cut out where you drill) and then wire the pixel modules. I used hot glue to seal where the pigtails enter the star. I think that in my video the "fade off" toward the tips of the stars is due more to my camera setup than anything else. The opaque white cover diffuses the light very well and in person I don't see any dimming toward the tips.

I found that a dremel with the sharp cone bit makes a great hole driller for the stars. It widens it just to the width of a pigtail.
